The Arts

The Swedenborgian Church supports spiritual growth through the arts.

Jesus as Artist, Salvific Arts.  He danced, turned water to wine, changed cultural traditions saving a woman from being stoned to death by a simple drawing in the sand.  Healing arts, art of life.

This is why we support and encourage artistic expression through all modalities whether it’s writing, painting, music, performance or worship in liturgical arts.  Swedenborgian tradition looks at life and holy scriptures as historical in nature and metaphorical in nature.  It’s our Creator as poet and the book of nature as divine expression.
