Education
We have series classes and various Meet-Up groups for Swedenborgian study and spiritual growth. Our study might include learning about life after death, the nature of angels, body theology, the Language of Correspondences, or Bible study to learn the deeper sense of Scripture and how it is a book about us: For instance, the landscape of the Holy Land; the hills, valleys, the names, and places, all the objects, things or nature and the movement of people all have specific relation to mapping the emotional and mental terrain and inner landscape of our spirit. The meanings are remarkably specific and consistent and teach how to respond in certain life circumstances. All classes are geared to practice and daily life.
All classes are grounded in one way or another or have touchstones of Swedenborgian theology which consider the relational aspects of the divine and human existence. Personal reflection from students will be welcomed and encouraged. The goal of any contemplative journey along Swedenborgian lines will be to integrate head and heart, material and theology with lived experience.

“Spiritually Speaking…” ongoing happens Wednesdays and features a variety of lectures and classes. Weekly Classes and Discussion a variety of Spiritual Topics. Wisdom without Love is not anything. Discover the wisdom of the ancients and how the landscape, objects, names and places of old directly and precisely corresponds to the inner landscape of our souls, matches each consecutive spiritual state, and has specific bearing on Character Development and the next steps we should take to ensure our well-being, our immediate happiness, and long-term peace.
Meditation: Beauty Within: Beauty Without – A seven-week series discovering the Opalescence of the Soul Through Study & Meditation of Tiffany’s Stained Glass Windows
and Swedenborg’s Way of Metaphor. Using seven original musical compositions as a meditation on the symbolic meaning of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s stained glass images of the Seven Angels to the Seven Churches, this class develops the spiritual practices suggested by the angels. As divine messengers of healing sent by the dear and glorious Physician, these angels have special “essences” to help aid us in times of trouble. In a kind of “celestial homeopathy,” the angels minister to various states of struggle in our spiritual growth; suggesting counter-measures (good medicine) for combating destructive those forces in our lives. “To him that over-cometh…” Through the beauty of the mysterious and soothing musical meditation and the glorious revelations contained in the seven angels’ secret messages, we come to discover the natural opalescence of our souls; its beauty within and beauty without. For we are all “angels becoming.” You will be astounded at what they have to say to you and your specific life conditions. Earthly angels will be on hand to offer angelic affirmations, prayer, and “hands of light” to those who ask for it.

Living Courageously: One of the most courageous things we can do in life is look within, discipline our mind, and strengthen our connection with the Divine so that we can serve others. This seven- week New Church Journey program will give participants an opportunity to look at their spiritual life and how the profound insights of a symbolic story from Sacred Scripture can support their spiritual path. Rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures’ depiction of the prophet Elijah, the weekly themes explore the miracles available to each of us on our spiritual paths. Living Courageously explores the following themes: Becoming aware, being fed by ravens, finding new truth, coming out of the cave, finding courage, making trans formative changes, and First and Last serving the Divine. Be Transformed!
